The Mediterranean Foundation for Strategic Studies (FMES) is a research center that deciphers geopolitical and strategic issues in the region covering the Mediterranean basin and the Middle East, as well as the recompositions between global actors. It also has a maritime department working on the legal, environmental, economic, security and military issues specific to the seas and oceans. Finally, it intervenes in support of the defense and dual economy, in particular to facilitate the international development of companies in the South region Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur.

Who we are
The Mediterranean Foundation for Strategic Studies (FMES) is a think tank that focuses on geopolitical and strategic issues in the Mediterranean region, the Middle East, and the global maritime domain. It conducts research, analyzes current events, and publishes reports and articles on these topics. The FMES also has a maritime department that works on issues related to the seas and oceans, and it supports the defense and dual economy in the South Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region of France.
